I wish they would activate the message boards. The information about the project is quite sparse.

They've done that but they still provide no real information about the project. I cannot really tell you how frustrating it is/was looking for information about this project... :? ... however, I think I may have finally found something.

This PDF gives some (not much) info on the project. Go to page 2, section 1.2 (Pilot application: ISDEP). Definitely sounds like a physics project and very interesting at that. :D

A bit more information on the current work being peformed by the EDges projects - http://www.edges-grid.eu/web/edges/49

I have personally only received ITER(International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) work units so far which are part of the ISDEP effort and it appears that this is the project's pilot BOINC appplication. I also understand that this is very closely related to one of the applications (FUSION) currently being run as part of the Ibercivis project.

You will notice that the application list seems pretty long, but there is very little information on where they are in the process of porting these to BOINC or even if they have plans to do so.

So while the forums have now been activated, the admis/moderators are not exactly responsive to the requests for information posted there. I have not had a issue getting work and all the back-end to the project seems to hold together fine. I guess we will have to wait and see where they go with this effort.

Cheers,
Neil.

PS - Some information on ITER http://www.iter.org/default.aspx

Thanks Neil. This is a really great project, especially since it aims to generate energy and produce "short-lived waste" in the process. This page has some interesting facts... :-)
