Anyone using optimised apps for BOINC?

I have optimised apps running on all my machines. I recon you get a good 30 or 40% more from SETI@home if you have the latest opp app installed.

Please don't leave us in suspense... Give us an example of an optimized app.

Opp apps are a complex topic, you need to know a bit about your PC. But if you want one, here is how to do it.

1. They are project specific. So a SETI@home opp app will only really help you on SETI

2. Visit the SETI@home "Number crunching" forum; http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_forum.php?id=10

3. Hang out there and chat to the lads

4. Read the "Sticky" message called "New Optimized Apps Links -- READ ONLY THREAD". Here is a link; http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=31810

5. That number crunching forum has everything you need. The links to where to get the opp apps, people who know how they work, support to help you install them to match your PC.....Everything!
