Hi there,
My son has gone off travelling for a year and I now have access to a PS3 which I am sure that I can put to much better use.
Initially it appears that it is quite easy to get going with the Folding@home project, but this is run as stand alone project and therefore would be my least favoured route.
Some of the BOINC based projects that did support the PS3 platform before (like PS3Grid - now called GPUGrid) have withdrawn their support in recent times. I could be wrong, but the only BOINC based project I can find that supports the PS3 platform today is YoYo. I would appreciate any advice or guidance anyone has in area.
Cheers,
Neil.

Hi Warped,
Thanks for the info. I have also discovered that some of the newer firmware updates issued from Sony for the PS3 appear to prevent the use of any other operating system except the native one. As Linux was required to be installed to run BOINC this appears to be the main reason why support for the PS3 platform has been withdrawn from some projects and is not growing across other projects. Oh well ... good ol' Sony.
On a more positve note, I noted that from early December the AP26 project has been supporting CUDA. So I have been watching the forums with interest and will probably jump on board in the new year.
Cheers,
Neil.
